Taste is a personal Android music player. You may optionally connect a YouTube account to receive YouTube Music recommendations and track metadata inside the player.
When you enable the optional connection, Taste uses Google OAuth to obtain the permissions you approve. Taste uses that access only to request music recommendations and related metadata for your account. Taste does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers.
OAuth credentials and cached recommendation data are stored locally on the device. Credentials are protected using Android's secure storage where available. Taste does not operate a server that stores your Google credentials or recommendation history.
You can disconnect the account from Taste at any time. Disconnecting removes the locally stored session and cached recommendation data. You can also revoke Taste's access from your Google Account security settings.
Google and YouTube are operated by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Taste is independent and is not affiliated with Google or YouTube.
